PSAT Blues

The PSATs are a cause for concern among nearly all students across the board in their 10th grade year. This Saturday, October 16th, at 7:45 AM students will have their only opportunity to take the test at Brentwood. Studies show that preparing ahead is the best way to ensure positive test results. Being prepared mentally is a major necessity. To avoid anxiety over the PSATs students should do their best to eliminate distractions and block out any negativity they are feeling towards the test. In addition to being mentally prepared, it wouldn't hurt to review preparation materials as much as possible and as much in advance as possible. That way, students will feel less anxious when it comes time to actually take the test. Hopefully these preparation strategies will help relieve stress in students approaching their time to take the PSATs.
