Speakers came from all over the nation to talk to students about the importance of acceptance and an open mind.
Kip Fulbeck was a personal favorite. After listening to his riveting speech and observing his passion for individual stories, I was inspired to question my own race labels and day-to-day reasoning. What is it that defines us? Do the judgements we place on others have a negative or positive effect? And most importantly, what can we do to foster a love of humanity in others? His books; Hapa, Mixed, and Permanence, will be available for purchase in the UD bookstore next week.- Daniella G. '13
