Vicious Varsity V-Ball

Brentwood's girls Varsity Volleyball team gave an amazing show this Thursday in the Eagle Dome against Campbell Hall. The fans loved the match and the effort our girls put in. The ruckus was brought by Brentwood fans, Josh D. ('10), Katie F. ('10), Charlotte P. ('10), Chris L. ('10), Nicky N. ('10), Stephen B. ('10), Sam B. ('10), Andy P. ('12), Jacob W. ('12) and of course, Bryce C. ('10) and Narc Narcisse. Brentwood had more fans who came and went like Jordan B. ('10), Ray N. ('10), Jackson I. ('10) and Daniel J. ('10), which led to a very productive, loud and supportive Ruckus Posse. The group cheered and chanted "We Believe" and sang "We Believe we Can Fly" as the Brentwood Eagles Varsity Volleyball team closed an amazing match.
Brentwood had an amazing comeback in the second game when they got 5 uncontested points to tie it back up at 20 with an implacable smash, courtesy of Jocelyn C. ('12). Brentwood outplayed Campbell Hall in the first two games but the opposition put in a lot of effort and was able to take the third. In the fourth game, the unthinkable happened; Sam D. ('10) went down with an injury after three and a half heart-filled games and was unable to return to the court. Campbell then took the fourth game; which meant one more game would decide everything.
The fifth game was full of ups and downs for Eagles and Campbell Hallians alike. The MONster, Monica P. ('11), dug deep and made some monstrous dives and saves while Bow-Time, Sara B. ('11) and Baby Bow stood strong up top. Natalie S. ('12) was dubbed "Powerhouse" by Brentwood fans after a great fifth game where she stood out for being strong in clutch time. Towards the end of the fifth game, Campbell Hall was close to winning but Brentwood tied it up at 14 and the fans went wild. After 2 full hours of spirit and effort, Brentwood lost to Campbell Hall 16-14 in the fifth game. BUT! Brentwood fans left satisfied, and a little sad, but proud of their Volleyball team for giving such a tremendous effort. Thank you girls Varsity V-Ball!
