This Friday, November 13th at 7:00PM, Brentwood students will be performing the first show of Joseph Stein's Fiddler on The Roof directed by Jennifer Willens! But tickets are almost SOLD OUT, so students, get your tickets now! The beautiful songs with lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and music by Jerry Bock are complemented by the moving and interesting storyline of the Jewish families in the town of Anatevka. The story centers on Tevye (Matt Gross), the father of five daughters and husband of Golde (Jackie Resnick), and his attempts to maintain his family and religious traditions while outside influences encroach upon their lives. He must cope with both the strong-willed actions of his three older daughters, Tzeitel (Brittany Wallach), Hodel (Ali Epstein) and Chava (Katie Pearlman) - each one's choice of husband moves farther away from the customs of her faith - and with the edict of the Tsar that evicts the Jews from their village. The night opens with Tradition and is followed by Matchmaker, If I Were A Rich Man, and a dream sequence with special effects. Every moment of the show is moving and exciting, so make sure to come and support your fellow students!
